Collection

The main areas of our library’s collection are German and Russian/Soviet history and the history of German-Russian relations in their international context from the early modern period to the present day.

Digital Resources of the Max Weber Network of Eastern Europe

All electronic resources in the catalogue (e-books, electronic databases, e-journals) are part of the Digital Library of the Max Weber Foundation and are accessible at the locations of the Max Weber Network Eastern Europe.

All Cyrillic titles are recorded in the catalogue in Latin script. Searching the catalogue for these titles is possible in both Cyrillic and Latin script. Some individual articles from books or journals are not indexed in the e-catalogue.

E-books
We offer you access to e-books on platforms ProQuestCiando and BiblioRossica. All titles accessible there are listed and directly linked in our online catalogue. Remote access to these e-books is possible after registration.
For registration, please contact the library team: bibliothek@mws-osteuropa.org

Individual e-books are offered directly by publishers. They can be accessed from the locations of the MW Network of Eastern Europe.

Electronic Databases/ DBIS: Database Info System
The database infosystem contains German national licences (funded by the German Research Foundation – approx. 200 databases), the databases licensed by institutes of the Max Weber Foundation as well as numerous databases freely accessible on the web. The licensed databases are listed in our online catalogue. Access is only possible at MW Network Eastern Europe locations.

E-journals
The Electronic Journals Library (EZB) provides an overview of the journals licensed by the Foundation as well as numerous freely available online journals. Access to the licensed journals is only possible in the Georgia Branch Office.
