CfA: Mobility funding for participation in conferences, workshops and colloquia
1 January – 31 July 2026
Application deadline: 15 November 2025
The Max Weber Network Eastern Europe and its individual branch offices reserve the right to offer funding for participation in conferences, workshops and colloquia. The program is aimed at highly qualified internationally oriented scholars in the humanities and social sciences (doctoral candidates, postdocs, experienced researchers) working on topics that correspond to the research profile of the network and its branch offices.
Please, note that this line of funding is intended for scholars from post-Soviet states (excluding Russia and Belarus) and scholars in exile who do not hold a position or multi-year grant with a university in Germany, Europe or internationally. Members of German universities or research institutes should rely on the funds of their home institutions.
The mobility funding consists of a travel allowance and an accommodation allowance. Accommodation allowance is only paid for the duration of the respective event (including the day of arrival and departure, if applicable). Reimbursable costs must be substantiated by submitting the usual travel receipts (tickets, boarding passes, hotel bill).
− Travel/flight costs for one outward and return journey, up to a maximum of € 500
− Accommodation allowance, up to a maximum of € 90 per overnight stay. Reimbursement of costs is limited to a total of € 800.
The application form lists all the necessary application documents. Please, consult also our scholarship regulations for all the details.
Please, send the completed application form and all documents as one pdf attachment and exclusively via e-mail to stipendien@mws-osteuropa.org.
